Lee Cormier is proud to be the local artist connection for Greenville and the upstate area.
Lee has always been interested in the arts; Lee learned how to do jewelry in the mid 80’s while living in California and found pleasure in the craft.
After retirement Lee had found yet a new artistic outlet in photography and about five years ago he determined that photography was what he wanted to do. Taking his camera out daily on road trips and around Greenville he has photographed; landscapes, old barns, flowers along with all the mice in Greenville (Greenville’s nine bronze mice sculptures are all around down town area).
Lee has an eye for seeing the things that are around us every day in nature and life and photographing them.
His photographic collection had grown so that he was running out of room in his house. Lee wanted to share his wonderful photos with the people of Greenville. Needing a place to display his work, the idea of his own gallery was conceived and Les Beaux Arts was born.
Knowing that it takes a great deal of money to open and run a gallery; so Lee thought that it would be a good idea to share his gallery space with artist from Greenville and South Carolina upstate artists.
